Hyderabad: Telangana home minister Mahmood Ali urged Muslims not to sacrifice cows on Bakrid (August 1). He said the cows should not be sacrificed as Hindus worship them. He added other animals including goats can be sacrificed. Ali said in Telangana state all religions are treated equally and the state is known for secularism.
