Asianet News Correspondent helps accident victim during live reporting

Asianet News correspondent R Ajayghosh was reporting live when an accident happened near him. He didn't think twice and rushed to help the injured. If there is an accident happening in front of your eyes you have to help, he later said.

Asianet News correspondent R Ajayghosh was reporting live on Friday morning about the CPI-M state secreteriat meeting at Vazhayila Junction, around 5 km away from Thiruvananthapuram, when he heard a loud noise.

There had been an accident just behind him. "An accident has happened here. A vehicle has hit a motorist. Looks like he is not badly hurt, but have to help him," were the words of Asianet News Thiruvananthapuram Regional Editor R Ajayghosh during a live telecast.

Ajayghosh said he has not come across a moment like that in two decades of his journalistic career. "If there is an accident happening in front of your eyes you have to help. I didn't think about anything else".

The driver of the car which hit the motorists also joined to get an auto to take the two riders to the hospital. By the time, bystanders joined to help. Ajayghosh later checked in on the wounded.
