'Chronology samajh leejiye': TMC lists evidence of 'attack' on Mamata

The TMC claimed that it had learnt from reliable sources that anti-social elements from neighbouring states had entered Nandigram.

Trinamool Congress has levelled serious accusations against the Election Commission and the Bharatiya Janata Party over the attack on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

Emerging from meeting with the Election Commission over the incident that happened in Nandigram, TMC MP Derek O'Brien said: "We condemn those statements (that claim that Mamata was trying to gain sympathy). Talk to the doctors, see what happened. It is all here. People are seeing how the Additional Director General of Police was first transferred. Chronology samajh leejiye (Understand the chronology)."

"On March 8, BJP's Bengal chief posted that West Bengal chief minister will be injured. On March 9 morning, Election Commission transferred West Bengal's Director General of Police. Chronology samajh leejiye (Understand the chronology). On March 10, a BJP MP posted in the evening, 'you will understand what will happen after 5 pm' and yesterday at 6 pm in Nandigram this incident happened in Nandigram with West Bengal," Derek further said.

The Trinamool Congress MP said that his party condemns this behaviour.

"We condemn these incidents. We want the truth to prevail. We seek the media's assistance to help the Election Commission not to spread all kind of other spins. This is a Z-category protectee. Let the truth come to light."

The TMC also claimed that it had learnt from reliable sources that anti-social elements from neighbouring states have come into Nandigram.

"This is a shameful attack on one of the world's most empowered self-made women," Derek said.
