Exclusive interview: Tejasvi Surya looks to maintain Ananth Kumar’s legacy
Tejasvi Surya will take on an opponent who is double his age and has twice as much political experience. The young candidate, however, in an exclusive interview said that he has nothing to be scared or worried about as he has the backing of Narendra Modi who believes in him to carry forward the legacy of the late HN Ananth Kumar from Bengaluru South.
Bengaluru: Aiming to up the victory margin of 2.28 lakh votes set by the then sitting MP HN Ananth Kumar in 2014 Lok Sabha election from Bengaluru South, the youngest BJP candidate, 28-year-old Tejasvi Surya says his opponent BK Hariprasad represents an ideology that he does not agree with.
His patron PM Modi represents the aspirations of youth and by selecting him has sent a message to all political parties that, in BJP every true karyakarta is recognised, said Surya.
He also said that he is not nervous or worried about winning as he has PM Modi by his side. With the blessings of senior leaders like R Ashoka, Somanna, Subbanna and others, he opined that he will win by a huge margin.
Tejasvi also spoke about how he wishes to carry on the legacy of HN Ananth Kumar in an interview with Newsable.
