Bengaluru: The Karnataka Congress’ series of problems seems to have no end. Just a few days ahead of the Lok Sabha polls on April 18, former chief secretary and minister J Alexander has resigned from the party stating that Congress leaders failed to represent the Christian community in the Lok Sabha seat allocation in Karnataka. He said he appealed to Congress leaders in Delhi and also Karnataka to allocate seats to Christian leaders either in Bengaluru Central, Mangaluru, Karwar or Bidar, “but the party failed in accommodating Christians.”
He added that many Christian community members are angry over the “party's double standard” which prompted his resignation.
