Karnataka: 2 women who carried out thefts at weekly fair caught, paraded on highway and handed over to police

Two women were caught while targeting people at a village fair to rob them off their mobile phones and money. The incident occurred at Kerur village fair in Bagalkot on August 18.

The thieving duo had become a headache for residents as one or two people became targets of theft every Tuesday.

Alerted by these frequent incidents of theft, villagers were watchful and caught them red-handed. Later, the women were handed over to police station after they were paraded from the village fair to the police station.
