Watch AB de Villiers sing "I won't give up" on his father's birthday, receives acclaim from Glenn Maxwell

AB de Villiers is still one of the most destructive batsmen in world cricket despite having retired from international cricket five years ago. Meanwhile, he also has a knack for singing efficiently, as he did the same during his father’s 70th birthday. Watch out.

When it comes to one of the finest strikers of the ball in cricket, AB de Villiers must be included in the list. Having announced his retirement from international cricket five years back, he entertains the fans with his explosive batting in the domestic circuit.

However, powerful batting is not the only calibre he has. Recently, he shared a video on his Instagram handle where he displays his efficient singing skills as well.

While celebrating the 70th birthday of his father, de Villiers took to singing, as he sang ‘I won’t give up by Jason Mraz, while his wife, Danielle de Villiers, also assisted him. It happens to be his all-time favourite song.

“On the 29th, we celebrated my Father’s 70th bday and I had the privilege to perform one of my all-time favourite songs with my beautiful wife @danielledevilliers .. We all interpret songs in our own unique way,; thissong has a particularly special meaning to me and reminds me that God is always there, no matter what happens,” he captioned.

“While singing this song on the 29th and looking across the room to my Dad, it also reminded me how lucky I’ve been to have had my Dad by my side as a role model for so many years. Thanks, @antonbothaband, for your time and effort. Your incredible set after our performance completed a very special evening,” he wrote further.

Meanwhile, Australian all-rounder and his Indian Premier League’s Royal Challengers Bangalore teammate, Glenn Maxwell, highly acclaimed his singing performance. “This is certainly an improvement on your last performance,” Maxwell commented, referring to RCB’s last IPL 2021 game against Punjab Kings, where de Villiers managed to score just three, while RCB lost the match by 34 runs. The video was also liked by RCB skipper Virat Kohli’s Bollywood wife, Anushka Sharma.
