Team India's horrifying show in the ongoing T20 World Cup in UAE has set a lot of tongues wagging, with former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram being the latest to join the bandwagon.

Following India's dismal performance in the do-or-die game against New Zealand, the legendary former pacer blamed the Men in Blue's negligence towards limited-overs international cricket as the reason behind their poor show in the ICC showpiece event.

Wasim Akram also highlighted that Indian players think playing the Indian Premier League (IPL) is enough, adding that regardless of how much league cricket one plays - players will only face one of two good bowlers in the opposition unlike in international cricket where one faces all five good bowlers.

In his comment on A Sports post India's loss to the Black Caps, Wasim Akram interestingly noted that the last team Virat Kohli and his men played a limited-over series with all the senior players was in March 2021, against England. The cricketer-turned-commentator added that this shows the Men in Blue's seriousness towards international series.
