Karnataka: Violating lockdown, devotees flock to mutt in hundreds

After mosques were found violating lockdown rules by offering prayers in groups, now a mutt in North Karnataka has apparently taken out a jatha (parade) in which hundreds participated. No mask and no physical distance make this a clear case of lockdown violation.

Hundreds of devotees of Fakhireshwar thronged to witness a jatha (parade) organised by Shirahatti' Fakhireshwar Mutt.

Mutt members who organised the jatha failed to ensure the implementation of lockdown rules like physical distance and allowing people only with masks at any gathering.

A video of them flouting lockdown rules has gone viral on social media.

Earlier few mosques were found violating lockdown norms by gathering in dozens and offering namaz (prayer).
