Coronavirus scare: Only digital payments, no cash transactions at petrol bunks in Bengaluru

The petrol bunks in Bengaluru have stopped accepting cash payments. Till the lockdown is lifted, the famous petrol bunk on MG Road took this decision after the video of a man in North India wiping currency notes with his saliva and mucus went viral.

Next time, if your vehicle runs out of petrol and if you head to the petrol bunk at MG Road in Bengaluru to fill fuel, you may be denied petrol if you offer cash payment. 

 

Recently, a video of a man wiping his currency note with his saliva and mucus was doing the rounds on social media triggering panic all around. 

 

The staff at the bunk said they are scared cash transactions could lead to coronavirus spread. 

Hence, they encourage only digital mode of payments and do not accept cash payments till the lockdown is lifted completely.
