Bengaluru: COVID-19 cases of children below 10 reaches 226; BBMP commissioner asks parents to be alert

Letting children out to play or being a little careless in not paying attention to what they are doing poses a very high-risk in the current situation. As per the latest data, Bengaluru has 226 COVID-19 cases of children below 10.

Children are at great risk of being infected with coronavirus as over 200 of them have currently tested positive in Bengaluru.

 According to the BBMP, the city has 8,345 active cases, which are largely associated with people entering the city from hotspots like Mumbai, Delhi and Chennai.

 Going by the large scale increase of COVID-19 cases in the city, especially among children, BBMP commissioner BH Anil Kumar said parents and caretakers should keep themselves away from children in case they are found to have COVID-19 symptoms and have asked them to be alert
