It seems there is no fear for life and respect for rules in Karnataka. Despite ban orders on sale of beef during lockdown, a shop in Laxmeshwar, Gadag, Karnataka, was openly selling beef.
Based on the tip-off from residents, the town municipal authorities raided the shop and seized the weighing machine.
The authorities also seized beef. The left overs were eaten by stray dogs. The authorities have warned the shop keepers.
The Tahsildar Braharambha Gubbishetty supervised the raid after he was informed about the sale of beef.
