Hindustan Aeronautics Limited would start delivering the trainer aircraft three years from the date of the deal signing. The deal was signed a day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the Hindustan Turbo Trainer-40 

In September 2021, the Narendra Modi government inked a pact to procure 56 C295 aircraft worth Rs 21,000 crore for the Indian Air Force, aiming to replace the legacy Avro-748 fleet. Of the 56, 40 aircraft are to be manufactured and assembled by Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) in India in 10 years.

The 9mm machine pistol would cost somewhere around Rs 50,000 per unit. The indigenously-developed machine pistol is more easy to use, accurate, light-weight, robust, reliable, compact and concealable.
