Issuing a warning to Congress' DK Shivakumar and others, Ravi said he would not spare anybody attempting to lay hands in the BJP camp. The warning comes after Goa Congress has camped its MLA in a resort, as per media reports, after exit polls hinted at the hung verdict.

According to the exit poll, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is expected to win and form the state government for the second time, while NPP is expected to be the runner-up. 

Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant won the election from his traditional Sanquelim Assembly constituency on Thursday, and expressed confidence that the BJP will form government in the coastal state.

Congress stalwart and sitting MLA, former CM Ibobi Singh seems too confident as his track record from Thoubal seat indicates he is very strong. Letpao Haokip, the Cabinet minister in the N Biren Singh government will test his luck from Naga bastion Tegnoupal. In 2017, D Korungthang when in Congressm defeated Yangkholet Haokip of BJP by a margin of 4,656 votes. This time he has moved to Naga People's Front. In all, six candidates will fight it out for the Tegnoupal Assembly seat.  

Snubbed by BJP, Manipur's established businessman Nishikant Singh Sapam has entered the fray and will contest as an Independent candidate from assembly segment Keishamthong. The seat is held by Langpoklakpam Jayantakumar Singh of the National People's Party.
