Ever since the Taliban took over Afghanistan in mid-August and formed a new government in the war-torn country, a host of activities have been prohibited, claiming that the new orders are in line with the Islamic Sharia law.

Earlier this week, the Taliban banned barbers in Helmand province from shaving or trimming beards.

In their previous rule, the Taliban adhered to their interpretation of the Islamic law and hence it will be interesting to see if they will recreate a similar governance framework.

Since coming into power, the Taliban have come up with several decrees, which include ban on music and female voices on television, ban on telecast of the UAE leg of IPL 2021, restrictions on kite flying, etc. Watch this video to know more.
