Study: Average height of Indian adults declining at alarming rate

Indians are getting shorted! A study titled 'Trends of adult height in India from 1998 to 2015: Evidence from the National Family and Health Survey', published in the Open Access Scientific Journal PLOS One, reveals that Indians have registered an alarming decline in the average height of men and women in the age groups of 15-25 years.

Average height of women has decreased by nearly 0.42 cm, while that of men has gone down by 1.10 cm, the study revealed.
