PM Modi consoles women's hockey team, tells them they inspired India's daughters
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday had an emotional conversation with members of the Indian women's hockey team.
Comforting the team, which lost their bronze medal clash against Great Britain, the Prime Minister said that the nation was proud of the team and what it had achieved at Tokyo Olympics.
The Prime Minister said that the team played really well.
"You have toiled away since the last five-six years. Your effort may not have yielded a medal but has inspired crores of daughters in the country," Prime Minister Modi said.
He also inquired about the injuries that Navneet Kaur had received after colliding with Argentina's Agustina Gorzelany in the hockey semifinal.
