The Prime Minister said that the team played really well.

"You have toiled away since the last five-six years. Your effort may not have yielded a medal but has inspired crores of daughters in the country," Prime Minister Modi said.

He also inquired about the injuries that Navneet Kaur had received after colliding with Argentina's Agustina Gorzelany in the hockey semifinal.
