JDS workers’ mortal remains arrive in Bengaluru, families arrange for final rites

The mortal remains of four JD(S) leaders have reached Bengaluru. Home minister MB Patil and MLA SR Vishwanath were present to receive the bodies.

Bengaluru: The mortal remains of four JD(S) workers arrived in Bengaluru at 8:10 PM on Tuesday by Sri Lankan Airlines. Home minister MB Patil and MLA SR Vishwanath were present to receive the bodies.

Seven JD(S) workers who campaigned for Veerappa Moily were sent on vacation to Colombo. They were staying at Shangri-La Hotel.

On Sunday, a series of bombs went off in Sri Lanka, one of the explosions occurred at the hotel. All seven JDS workers died in the blast. The death toll of the explosions has crossed 300. ISIS claimed responsibility over 48 hours after the attacks. The mortal remains of the other workers are expected to reach Bengaluru today.
