Bengaluru: Many districts in Karnataka have been reeling under acute drought for quite a few years now. However, RTI documents reveal the fact that the chief minister of Karnataka HD Kumaraswamy has failed to visit all the drought-hit districts in the state. T Narasimha Murthy, an activist who sought an RTI to know more about Kumaraswamy's visit to such districts, said that the chief minister did not give much importance to the districts such as Yadgiri and Chitradurga where severe water shortage is the key issue. Ironically, Kumaraswamy has been boasting about the farm loan waiver, while paying no heed to those suffering in these districts.

Speaking to MyNation, Narasimha Murthy said that the chief minister visited Hassan, Tumakuru, Mysuru and Mandya at least 16 times since he assumed power. The activist said that Kumaraswamy did not care about the other districts such as Gadag, Bidar and Kalaburagi that are drought-hit.
