Govt schoolchildren dive into their dreams with free swimming lessons in Bengaluru

The swimming pool in Bengaluru's Vidyanagar welcomes government school children to learn swimming for free

Bengaluru: Swimming pools were just a visual treat for these underprivileged students. But thanks to the efforts of M Satish Kumar, the founder of Sarvarigu Eeju, which means ‘swimming for all’, the dreams of these children have come true.

More than 100 government school children have begun lessons in swimming at Bengaluru's Vidyanagar. The intent of the initiative is to not only teach students swimming as a sport, but also as an essential life skill.

Many schools in the country do not possess the means or the space to host a swimming pool. This initiative provides government schools the opportunity for their students to make a splash in the world.
