Eshwarappa: What if it was Siddaramaiah's granddaughter who was raped?

Alleging that former chief minister of Karnataka Siddaramaiah was dismissive while urging him to take action in the Vibgyor rape case, BJP leader KS Eshwarappa lashed out against the Congress leader

Dharwad (Karnataka): Former chief minister of Karnataka Siddaramaiah reportedly refused to listen and take action in the Vibgyor rape case, alleged BJP leader KS Eshwarapa on Sunday, while addressing a gathering in Dharwad's Kundgol.

When Eshwarappa urged him to take action, Siddaramaiah reportedly said, "What should I do about it?" Eshwarappa recalled this incident and questioned what the Congress leader would do if the rape victim was his granddaughter.

Taking to Twitter, KPCC president Dinesh Gundu Rao put out a tweet which read, "What if @siddaramaiah's granddaughter was raped," @BJP4Karnataka leader KS Eshwarappa has revealed his inhuman side. Only a person who has lost his mental balance would make such a reference to a school going kid. He should be locked up permanently. @PMOIndia."

Karnataka BJP spokesperson S Prakash refused to comment on Eshwarappa's statement.

A 6-year-old girl was allegedly raped in the school premises in 2014. Speaking to reporters then, Siddaramaiah had responded in a similar manner saying, "Is this the only news you have?"
