Chief minister row: Siddaramaiah to not contest next Karnataka Assembly election
Several Congress leaders have demanded Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Siddaramaiah to become the state chief minister and this has led many to believe that the former chief minister was making attempts to become chief minister again
Bengaluru: Days after the war of words within the Congress-JD(S) coalition escalated, Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Siddaramaiah attempted to end rumours stating he had been making attempts to become the chief minister of Karnataka. Speaking to reporters, the former chief minister said that he will not contest in the next Karnataka Assembly polls and added by saying that he could not stop people from commenting on the issue.
