Bengaluru: BJP has begun its preparation just after the Election Commission (EC) announced the poll dates.

Karnataka BJP president BS Yeddyurappa addressed the media on March 13 at a private hotel in Bengaluru. The state vice-president Govind Karjola, RS member Rajeev Chandrasekhar, election in-charge R Ashoka and a host of other leaders too were present.

Yeddyurappa explained how the constituents of the so-called mahagathbandhan otherwise cannot stand one another while also elaborating upon the BJP's plans to win 22 seats in the state

Taking pride in the administration that Narendra Modi has given in the past five years, Yeddyurappa said that Modi had succeeded in giving a corruption-free government. He also said that Modi has globalised the issue of terror, thereby garnering the attention of all nations in the fight against terror.

Yeddyurappa criticised chief minister HD Kumaraswamy for not fulfilling the loan-waiver promise.

R Ashoka said the BJP had won 17 seats and this time, the target is 22.  Rajya Sabha member Rajeev Chandrasekhar, on his part, criticised the Mahagathbandhan saying they had nothing in common except hate for Modi.
