Yadgiri residents in Karnataka undertook risky procession to greet recovered COVID-19 patients

Two Yadgiri residents in Karnataka recovered from COVID-19. They were honoured and greeted by people in the sealed are while forgetting social distancing norms and lockdown rules. This video is now going viral.

Yadigir: District's Dukanwadi residents in Karnataka welcomed COVID-19 recovered patients by undertaking a huge procession, while neglecting social distancing norms and lockdown rules. This happened despite the area being 'sealed'.

At a time when social distancing, wearing masks are necessary to contain the spread of COVID-19, the family members and area residents of Dukan Wadi in Yadagiri, put hundreds of people at risk by taking out a rally. 

The video is now going viral and the area is attracting criticism for such a “foolish act”. 

Recently, two persons from the area were tested positive and were treated at Kalburgi District hospital. After they recovered and were discharged, the area residents gave them a hero's welcome.
