Video of flying peacock at Ranthambore National Park goes viral on social media

A video of a peacock flying at the Ranthambore National Park went viral on the internet, with the rare sight captured on camera receiving many comments

Internet users have been treated to a rare sight. A video doing the rounds shows a flying peacock at Rajasthan's Ranthambore National Park. Wildlife photographer Harsha Narasimhamurthy shot this nine-second video clip, which was later shared by Indian Forest Service officer Susanta Nanda on Twitter.

 

Peacocks usually have six feet long tail feathers. It is said that because of its long tail peacocks cannot cover long distances but can fly short lengths. In the video, one can see a peacock running, before it jumps and takes flight.  The bird frequently manages to fly up to the lowest branch of a tree. Watch the video
