Defence Diaries EP03: 'China's attempt to dilute India's strategic confidence will fail'

In an exclusive interview with Asianet Newsable, Lieutenant General Syed Ata Hasnain (Retired)  shares his views about the ongoing India and China standoff in Eastern Ladakh. He said, "Essentially, the Chinese initiated this whole thing. They are looking after the manner in which the Indian response has been there in the last 2-3 months. Obviously the Chinese are looking for an exit strategy.."

He added, "This is one of the awkward times when I personally feel that the Chinese may require the Pakistanis more than the Pakistanis requiring the Chinese."
