Stringent action to be taken against those who planned Mangaluru violence, says Karnataka CM

Karnataka chief minister BS Yediyurappa promised stringent action against those who planned Mangaluru violence as the police have now proved that it was a pre-planned attempt

Mangaluru: The footage of a massive protest that broke out in Karnataka's Mangaluru shook the entire state on Tuesday. The footage obtained by the police clearly showed that the violence was pre-planned and masked youths planned to attack the police by pelting stones at them and drifting away the CCTVs, so nothing gets recorded. Reacting to the footage that has gone viral, Karnataka CM Yediyurappa said that stringent action would be taken against those who planned the Mangaluru violence. Yediyurappa, who returned from Kerala tour, told reporters in Mangaluru that the truth behind Mangaluru riots has come to light, and a well-thought-out conspiracy tried to instigate the riot in Mangaluru. He also added that whoever was involved in instigating the protests will be arrested soon.
