Shootout in Bengaluru: Subramanyapura Police fired gun when rowdy attacked cop

A rowdy, who was involved in a double murder case three days ago, was shot at by Bengaluru South Division Police after he attacked one of the men in khakhi. The incident happened early this morning when cops traced Sanjay alias Chikka Appi near ISRO Layout. 

Forget social distancing, rowdy elements involved in murder cases during lockdown have hit the spotlight. While tracing such an accused, the Bengaluru South Division Police shot a rowdy after he attacked one of the police officials. 
 
The police are deployed for extra duty to ensure the strict implementation of lockdown rules. Three days ago, a rowdy named Sanjay and his team murdered a rival gangster in Subramanyapura Police limits. 
 
Another rowdy Mukund and his colleague Manoj were called on the pretext of compromise, and the two were killed by Sanjay and team. 
 
The police, after registering an FIR, launched a manhunt for Sanjay and team. After receiving information about his hideout near Devekere near ISRO Layout, the police spotted the accused and warned him to surrender, but the rowdy and team tried to attack the police and escape. After police sub inspector Madhu was injured due to knife injury by Sanjay, Konanakunte Police inspector Dharmendra shot the rowdy in the leg and he fell to the ground. 
 

Accused and injured cop were rushed to hospital and are said to be safe.
