A young Nawang Namgyal had won the love and respect of an entire nation when a video him giving a crisp salute to the ITBP personnel passing through Chushul in Ladakh emerged.
The young warrior's spirit of patriotism has motivated many all around the country, leading to calls to help the young Ladakhi to realise his dreams.
Giving wings to young Nawang Namgyal's aspirations is BJP MP Rajeev Chandrasekhar who has contributed Rs 2.5 lakh to the cause through his Flags of Honour Foundation.
Since its formation in 2009, the Flags of Honour Foundation has supported numerous families of bravehearts who have served and sacrificed for India, helped create awareness of the stories of many veterans and warriors who have served and sacrificed and advocated the cause of the armed forces.
Rajeev had been put in touch with Nawang Namgyal's father Sonam Stobgais through officers of the ITBP.
Sonam too is a determined Ladakhi, volunteering to deliver supplies to our frontline troops regularly
It is our fond hope that Nawang shines and inspires many others to stand tall for our nation.
