Puducherry: A fuel tank of PSLV rocket, got caught in a fishing net of Vambakeerapalaya in Puducherry. Initially, the fishermen found it difficult to pull their net out of the waters and thought it to be a big catch, but later saw the strange object and brought it ashore.

An ISRO official said the large metal object is a case of a spent solid strap on motor XL variant of ISRO's workhorse Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle(PSLV). This is believed to have been separated from the rocket and fallen into the ocean during a launch mission from Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh.  The object measured 13.5 metre in length and it carried a handwritten marking saying 'FM 119 22/3/2019'.
