Mamata Banerjee sings iconic song invoking Goddess Durga on Mahalaya

West Bengal:  Chief minister Mamata Banerjee has recorded a song to welcome Goddess Durga on the occasion of Mahalaya. On September 17, a snippet of this had been published on her official Facebook handle. Mamata Banerjee, known for her inclination towards music and art, sang the song Jago Durga Jago. Dwijen Mukhopadhyay originally sang it in the iconic radio programme Mahisasuramardini that is aired on Akashvani every year at dawn on Mahalaya. Watch the video.
