Locals back to work as normalcy gradually returns to Northeast Delhi after violence

Normalcy has gradually started to return in parts of Northeast Delhi after being gripped by communal clashes for over four days

New Delhi: Normalcy has gradually started to return in parts of Northeast Delhi, which was gripped by communal clashes for over four days. Locals started to go back to their daily routine. Shops have opened, vehicles have started to run on the roads as well. Police force remained deployed in the violence-affected Northeast Delhi to keep an eye on the situation. No fresh violence has been reported. One of the locals said, “Situation is better now. People are going to their work. Shops have started to open. The atmosphere is good here now.” Few days ago, anti and pro CAA groups clashed in parts of Northeast Delhi, which resulted in major loss of lives and properties. At least 42 people lost their lives in the violence.
