Karnataka rains: Children write to minister, say no point being our representatives

Students of Bagalkot district, Karnataka, have written a letter to deputy chief minister Govind Karjol demanding good roads and facilities to their village, which now remains inundated due to heavy rains
 

Bagalkot: After heavy rains, roads and agricultural field remain inundated in Bagalkot village, Karnataka. Following this, students of the village have written a letter to deputy chief minister  Govind M Karjol demanding good roads and facilities to their village. In the letter, the students have also questioned the minister, alleging that there is no point him being the minister if he can't provide good facilities to the village. Children were also seen standing in knee-deep water and reading the letter to deputy chief minister of Karnataka, urging him to take stock of the situation.

Meanwhile, in Karnataka's Navalgund area of Dharwad district, an elderly lady named Shekhava Shivappa died on Tuesday (October 22)when the roof of her house collapsed in heavy rains. She was immediately taken to hospital, but doctors declared her brought dead.
