Karnataka GP election: Villagers to boycott polls for this reason
As election date to Karnataka Gram Panchayat nears, villagers in Mysuru's Hemmavu Gram Panchayat have decided to boycott the polls.
The decision was taken after some of the villagers who were promised employment at Asian Paints Factory Unit failed to get the same.
Out of 16 wards at Gram panchayat in Nanjangud, villagers of Hemmavu , not a single person has come forward to file nomination and when officials tried to convince them to file nomination, villagers picked up the argument.
