Karnataka floods: NDRF team rescues pregnant woman, victims stop Siddaramaiah's car seeking relief measures

On Wednesday (October 23), six NDRF teams were deployed in parts of north Karnataka to intensify rescue operations of people stranded in flood-hit Belagavi, Bagalkot, Gadag, Dharwad and Haveri

Bengaluru: NDRF team on Wednesday (October 23) rescued a pregnant woman and her family members from flood-hit Gadag district, Karnataka. The woman, along with her family members, were struck in Surkod village of Naragund subdivision. 

On the other side, victims who lost their homes and properties in heavy rains and floods, stopped former Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah's car in Badami and sought relief measures. Though Siddaramaiah refused to get down from the car to listen to people's grief, he, however, assured the victims that relief measures would soon be provided by the government.
