Bengaluru: Karnataka home minister Basavaraj Bommai was on Thursday (November 21) travelling from Bengaluru to Mysuru where he came across a check post that was stationed due to the model code of conduct introduced ahead of Karnataka bypolls.

As the home minister's car was crossing the check post near Hanekere, Mandya, the police officials tried to stop his car for a routine check. But, the home minister's car did not stop at the check post and throttled away.

The video of this incident is now viral on social media, and the home minister is expected to make a statement on this incident.
