Karnataka by-polls: Shivajinagar's JD(S) candidate to build park, library dedicated to Thiruvalluvar if voted to power

Shivajinagar's JD(S) candidate Tanveer Ahmed Ullah on Wednesday (November 20) said that he would build a park and a library in his constituency as a tribute to Thiruvalluvar if he is voted to power in the upcoming Karnataka by-polls

Bengaluru: With the Karnataka by-polls set to be held on December 5, Shivajinagar's JD(S) candidate Tanveer Ahmed Ullah was up and about in the constituency. He garlanded the Thiruvalluvar statue in Ulsoor, Bengaluru, and interacted with residents on November 20.

Speaking to residents, Tanveer said, "I am here to seek the blessings of Thiruvalluvar. Like how Pampa, Ranna, Kabir, Kanakadasa and Basavanna do not belong to any religion, likewise Thiruvalluvar fought for humanity. If I am voted to power by the people of Shivajinagar, I will work to build a park and a library in his name."
