Karnataka: 15-foot-long King Cobra caught in CM Yediyurappa’s district

Shivamogga (Karnataka): A 15-foot-long King Cobra had sent the entire village of Hosanagara in Shivamogga district in Karnataka into a panic mode after it was spotted in a farmland. Umesh, the owner of the land and a former gram panchayat president of Hosanagara, called up snake rescuers. After two hours of struggle, the snake was caught and later released into a forest. King Cobras are often found in Shivamogga's Agumbe. Karnataka chief minister BS Yediyurappa hails from Shivamogga district.
