Kalinga serpent hides in a drainage fearing street dogs

Shimoga: A Kalinga serpent that was frightened by street dogs was found hiding inside a drainage in Thirthahalli taluk in Shimoga. Residents of the area claimed that when the snake came out of the drainage for a moment it was more like a war between the snake and the street dogs. The incident occurred at a village Guddekoppa in Thirthahalli taluk.  It was a sigh of relief both for the residents and the snake after it was rescued and released into the jungle by reptile expert Ajayagiri.
