Instead of free vaccines, MLA spreads thick black smoke to beat Covid virus, details

Forget the general public who resort to local jugaad to deal with the coronavirus pandemic and stop it from spreading, here a three-time MLA held a grand havan to kill the virus present in the air.

Abhay Patil an MLA performed puja and he was seen mixing the cow dung cake, camphor, neem leaves mixed in a container and setting it on fire. Later placed it on the pushcart and along with his supporters went around in his Assembly segment to spread the thick smoke from 'havan'.

The MLA's act was condemned by his own partymen and DyCM CN Ashwath Narayana as the 'havan' event resulted in the breaking of Covid lockdown rules. About 50 of his supporters were seen moving in the area helping the MLA.

The MLA contended that up to June 15 he will conduct this havan in different areas in his Assembly segment.
