Insanity at its peak: Ramesh Jarkiholi's supporter sets himself ablaze

Following the shameful incident of sex CD involving water resources and irrigation minister Ramesh Jarkiholi which resulted in him stepping down, protest in his hometown Gokak refuses to die down. Now a supporter set himself on fire and is admitted to hospital.

Ramesh Jarkiholi's supporters who on the other day held Gokak town to ransom by forcefully shutting shops and calling for bandh, continued to hold a series of agitations to pressure the government to re-induct him into the Cabinet.

Today morning, a supporter identified as Ganapati set a tyre on fire and jumped into it. Soon the police pulled him out and rushed him to hospital.

Jarkiholi who is called 'saukar' had earlier claimed that he is innocent and had not slept with any woman as per the claims made by activist Dinesh Kallahalli.

Kallahalli had alleged that Jarkiholi used his position to lure a young woman on the pretext of offering a job at Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited.

Meanwhile, Jarkiholi's brother Balachandra Jarkiholi told that they will fight this case legally and have asked CM Yediyurappa for a high level probe into the incident as they believe that this was a trap to tarnish their family's image.
