BREAKING: India’s Biggest Fighter Jet Deal Clears: 97 Tejas Mark 1A Jets for IAF

In a historic decision, India approved a mega ₹62,000 crore deal to buy 97 LCA Tejas Mark 1A fighter jets for the Air Force. The high-level clearance on August 19, 2025, gives Hindustan Aeronautics Limited the green light to build the jets, marking the biggest-ever boost to indigenous defence manufacturing.
