IAF pays tribute to corona warriors with fly pasts and flower showers
In Bengaluru, fighter jets dropped petals at hospitals across the city in a gesture to thank the tireless efforts of medical professionals and other frontline workers at the forefront of battle against the deadly coronavirus.
Bengaluru: A mega effort by the armed forces to felicitate healthcare workers and other corona warriors is underway across the country, complete with flypasts by fighter jets over state capitals, aerial flower showers and performances by military bands outside hospitals.
The defence forces expressed gratitude to the coronavirus frontline 'warriors' as Indian Air Force showered flower petals over hospitals housing medical professionals and other frontline workers at the forefront of battle against the deadly coronavirus.
The armed forces had made elaborate arrangements to conduct nationwide aerial fly-pasts, light up ships at sea and shower flower petals on several hospitals across the country on Sunday to express gratitude to lakhs of doctors, paramedics, sanitation staff and other frontline workers engaged in fighting the coronavirus pandemic. Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat on Friday announced that the three services will carry out a series of activities to thank the "corona warriors".
