Going green: KSRTC sets up plastic bottle shredder at Bengaluru’s Majestic bus station

Fed up with the pile of used plastic bottles that are left behind by passengers at the Bengaluru city bus station (Majestic), Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) along with private firms, installed recycling plastic bottle crushing machine to tackle the plastic menace. Bengaluru: With an attempt to keep its surrounding free from plastic bottles that are left behind, Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has found a green path to take on the menace.

By installing recycling plastic bottle crushing machine, the KSRTC hopes to shred 17.2 tonne plastic bottle waste annually.

Firms like Green Recykloplast and Sparsh Masala under CSR activity joined hands with KSRTC in installation of this machine. The KSRTC is providing free space and bearing electricity charges under environment friendly initiatives. The recycled plastic would be used to make dustbins, road construction, toilet cabin, diary, t-shirts and more.
