Live video of cylinder blast goes viral as explosion in Rajasthan leaves 13 injured, 9 critical

The cylinder blast was caused due to a gas pipeline leakage. Neighbours had warned the residents of the house about the gas leakage earlier in the day

Sikar (Rajasthan): A cylinder blast in a house in Qureshi Quarter in Mohalla Sheikhpura, Sikar on Thursday injured 13 people. 9 people have sustained grievous injuries and have been referred to Sikar’s Welfare hospital. According to reports, the cylinder blast was caused due to gas pipeline leakage. Earlier today, neighbours had warned the residents of the house about the gas leakage. On receiving details about the incident, fire brigade and police personnel reached the spot. However, the residents were angered and alleged that the administrative officials arrived very late.

Police are investigating the case. The cylinder burst has induced cracks in the walls of surrounding houses. Former MLA Rajkumar Sharma also reached the spot and assisted the injured. Earlier reports stated that eight people were injured in the incident. However, later reports stated that the injuries reported were nine.
