Drawing inspiration from Haveri, another group of women in Karnataka forces 4 liquor stores to shut

Increase in family disputes, fights, domestic abuse after resumption of liquor sales four days ago caused a group of women to pelt stones causing liquor stores to shut shop in Haveri. This has inspired women from Ron Taluk to take a similar decision and shut down wine stores.

 Women from Alur village in Ron Taluk of North Karnataka formed a group which forced all the wine stores to shut.

The group of women even warned owners against selling alcohol till the lockdown was lifted. Fearing loss of property, the wine store owners downed shutters.
