Darbar: Pro-Kannada activists detained for attempting to stop Rajnikanth's Pongal release in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: Police detained several pro-Kannada activists, who protested the release of Rajnikanth starrer Darbar in front of Narthaki Theatre.  Protesters, who tried to barricade the theatre, demanded that non-Kannada films not be screened and that the film be dubbed in Kannada.

“We will continue our protest because such non-Kannada films should not be allowed in Karnataka,” said a member of the organisation.
