COVID-19: Bootleggers make hooch as police remain occupied with enforcing lockdown
Karnataka Police based on a tip-off raided a remote area of Hanagal taluk and destroyed items for the preparation of hooch and seized 500 litres of the potent liquor.
As police in Karnataka are busy enforcing the lockdown to contain the spread of the deadly coronavirus, miscreants in Haveri district's Hanagal taluk have seen this as an opportunity to make hooch.

Based on a tip-off, the excise department official attached to Hanagal limits raided a location at Huliginakoppa village and seized 500 litres of hooch after destroying the items kept for its preparation.
The raids were conducted by circle inspector Praveen and excise department official Honappa
