Bengaluru: Under-construction multi-storey building collapses; video goes viral

Bengaluru: An under-construction multi-storey building in Bengaluru’s Majestic area collapsed on Tuesday (July 28) night. Luckily, there were no casualties. The collapsed building was meant for a hotel near the iconic Kapali theatre premises.

Police had shifted the occupants to a nearby building on Monday after cracks had appeared in the building.

Sources said that the age-old theatre was replaced by a mall and multiplex in 2017 and work for that is still in progress.

The ground was dug 80 feet to build a multiplex, which led to developing the cracks in the building, sources added. Watch the viral video here.
