Suspended AIADMK leader VK Sasikala received a rousing 24-hour welcome from Bengaluru to Chennai, something that is expected to heighten tensions for Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisamy and O Panneerselvam.

The 370 kilometre route between Bengaluru to Chennai that usually takes five hours to cover, took Sasikala 23 hours as thousands of supporters gathered along the roadside and greeted her with flowers.

Earlier, AIADMK leader Puhazhendhi said the roadshow was a stunt and accused her of using money to buy supporters.
